With a depressed economy, this has been one of the toughest years on record for
animal rescue. In addition to helping those dogs who have been abused or
neglected, rescue groups have had the added burden of taking in dogs whose
owners turned them in while citing economic reasons. Some of the Austin-based
rescue groups have sadly dissolved.
As you know, Wee Rescue is entirely funded by donations and volunteer labor.
Without our donors and volunteers, our group would collapse. While we have not
received as many donations in years past, we are extremely grateful for the
contributions we have received. Wee are still intact and look forward to saving and
placing many more truly wonderful dogs in 2009.
On behalf of all the Wees who will be saved, thanks to everyone below for their
generosity. You have truly made a difference. Best wishes during this holiday
season and have a Healthy, Safe, and Happy New Year. Thank you to our donors:
